My first job out of college was at a screen printing company in my hometown of Carroll, Iowa. During my three years at The Graphic Edge, I learned how to work my detailed illustration work in the computer design applications Photoshop and CorelDraw. I also learned how to do actual graphic design and layout work, even though I wasn’t great at either. That being said, the pen and ink / Photoshop illustrations I was able to create at The Graphic Edge are the finest of my career and may never be topped. I felt very lucky to have been employed at this incredible company and will owe Alan Gray, my old Art Director, the world for all he taught me.
