My triumphant return to my hometown of Carroll, Iowa came in March of 2011 when I was named the Head Designer at McLaughlin International. Formerly a small screen print and embroidery business called Envisions, the McLaughlin family purchased it, moved it to a bigger facility, and gave it a new name. My three years there were great, and not only did I help the company become a lot more organized, I also grew a lot as a person and as a designer. I learned I am not only capable of running an art department, but that I can handle the pressure and responsibility that entails. I owe the McLaughlin family so much for their faith in me.
